Chorus Practice

April and May Newsflash




This is the remainder of our practice/performance schedule, as well as information about our Spring performance “ALOHA, HAWAII!”

4/26/18 – Practice until 5:00, snack – Makenzie Williamson

4/27/18 – Washington Co. Relay for Life at PALS Park – Chorus to perform from 6:30 – 7:00. Please have your child there by 6:15. +++++

Tuesday May 1 – DRESS REHEARSAL UNTIL 5:30, snack – Jonathan Patton

Wednesday May 2 – CHORUS PERFORMANCE at 1:30 for K-2

Thursday May 3 – CHORUS PERFORMANCE at 8:30 for 3-5

Thursday May 3 – CHORUS PERFORMANCE AT 6:00 for Family and Friends. Please have students here by 5:30.

5/10/18 – Field Trip to Chipola College in the evening to see a play!!! This will be in the afternoon/evening and we will be riding a school bus to Marianna to eat,and see “The Cat in the Hat”. I will send home more information with a permission slip next Monday April 30.

5/17/18 – End of Year Celebration “Luau”, etc. Will also send more info. with the note on Monday. Any parents that have not helped with snack this year can help provide for this last event.

 If  your child is participating in Relay for Life on this Friday, Apr. 27 they need to be at PALS Park by 6:15 pm. We will be performing from 6:30-700. Your child should wear their Chorus t-shirt and a nice pair of jeans.

Below is information about your child’s part in our “Aloha, Hawaii!” program and COSTUME INFORMATION. Most students have given me their money – thank you! If not, there will be a reminder written on this note.

ALL BOYS – “Hawaiian or Tropical” shirts, OR solid color bright colored t-shirt (both short-sleeved), with khaki or blue jean shorts.

I have ordered all the boys some sunglasses and some white leis. The combined cost for both is $3.00. Please send the money with your child to next week’s practice. All students will be bare-footed for the programJ

HULA GIRLS : Kadie B – red, Jazmyn MD – orange, Mia W. – yellow, Sydney S. – green, Rhiana N. – blue, Hailey M. – purple. These girls need short-sleeved shirts in their color, with solid color leggings (no dark colors please). All other hula girls wear one of those colors with leggings as well.

I have ordered hula skirts for the girls, as well as lei bracelets and anklets. The combined total for those items is $5.00. If your child is not a hula girl I should have some costume items that will work for them. If not, I will let you know by next week’s practice.

All girls will wear leis, as well as Hibiscus hair clips that I have ordered. The cost for those is $1.50. Girls should wear their hair down, and will also be bare-footed for the program. J Please send all money for costume items with your child by next week’s practice.
