School Reopening Options - Update

If you need clarification, please call the office and ask for an administrator or the guidance counselor.

Option 1 Attend KMS as usual.

Option 2 Attend KMS with our virtual plan (ILE). Contact Beth Arnold

Option 3 Florida Virtual Full Time (unenroll from KMS and contact Beth Arnold)

When considering your choices:
1.  Your child will come to school as usual and we need to know if they will ride a bus or not.  We will begin Aug.12.  Details and information about orientation and a meet and greet will be posted at a later date.
2.  You want to keep your child home for now, but when things get better they will return to school.  This is ILE (Innovative Learning Environment) and they remain a student at KMS.  YOu willneed to contact Beth Arnold to enroll for this option.
3. You want to withdraw your child from our school to do something else more perrnanent, contact Beth Arnold at the Washington County School Board office at 638-6222.

Message from M. Braxton

April 11, 2020

Dear Students and Parents,

I want each of you to know that I miss seeing you at school each day. We are all adjusting to this new temporary normal together. Your teachers have been reaching out and are working hard to ensure you continue to get your needed education. In the coming weeks, we will make history and will work together to figure out this distance learning. During this time, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, worried, or even sad. Please know that I will continue to be here as a support for each of you. If you find yourself or your family in need of support or assistance, please feel free to reach out to me by call or text at 850-573-1491 or by email at [email protected] I will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. If I do not answer your call, please leave a message and I will get back with you. If I can assist, I will be glad to do so. If not, I will help with locating the correct resource.

I look forward to seeing each of you when we return to school.
